I am trying to change my applications icon on my dock. I'm using candybar and cant find applications in candybar to drag an icon to.

Thanks,
TBRAMS

What specific applications do you talk about?

And what Mac OS X version do you use? Have you tried the "copy image, open GET INFO of the application, select icon, paste image" method yet?

Usually if the Candybar method doesn't work for me I'll go along the same route as spinnerlys and find the Application within the Apps folder and then CMD + I it for the info on it but then drag the required icon out of Candybar and place it on the existing icon within the Info box in the top left corner instead of copying and pasting.
Hope this helps :)

I use Img2icns to create or replace my own custom icons for folders/documents/applications. The images you see on the dock are just shortcuts of the actual application. So you gotta go into your application folder and replace the icon there, then drag its shortcut to your dock.

Since the folder "applications" is a folder, you just right click it like any other thing in osx, and use Img2icon or some other program that can make icon images, and then it should replace the icon on the dock automatically.
