I want to change my Dashboard background and in Mavericks I did it as per below..

- Simply find another picture that you like (in png format) duplicate it. You need two of the same picture.
- Name one dbgrid.png and name the other dbgrid@2x.png
- Drop those into the folder: system/library/coreservices/Dock (right click and click show package contents)/contents/resources. You will have to input your password to verify.
- Then open Terminal and type:" killall Dock " (no quotes) and return.
A three finger sweep up should show you your new dashboard background.

But in Yosemite that doesn't work..I didn't find any dbgrid.png file so I added it my self which did not work..
However I can't see any other file that could be the one to change either so...please help me out

I look forward to an answer for this. I have two monitors and each time I turn on my computer, the background picture moves to the iMac monitor and then on my 2nd (main) monitor, it shows a picture I used last year sometime.

Maybe that will be fixed in the next update.

I even tried to create the old image from Mountain Lion: pirelli.png and pirelli@2x.png
But those did not work either...
Hasnt anyone done this with success so far?? and if so how?
best regards micael
