iPod Changing color of Nano?

If I am having a skipping problem with my nano, and I brought it in to the apple store, would they replace it? And also if they replaced it, think I could get a dif. color?

They will replace it but you will have to get the same color.

Not true, I had a problem with my iPhone and they changed it to a white one. ASK!
