Has anyone found a stable way to change folder icons in iOS 5? I tried FolderIcons in Cydia which worked for changing the icons but subsequently crashed my device every time I tried to open a folder, that's the only tool I've been able to find to change them thus far

No issues with FolderIcons on my iP4 5.0.1

hey guys. i just installed forldericons and it doesnt show up in my settings app, any suggestions? i can edit folders through the "jiggle" mode tho, but my icons i added to var/mobile/Media/FolderIcons are not showing up there :/

Reinstalled and disabled a couple of settings in Springtomize and the issue was resolved, thanks!

Can you please tell me what you did. I am having severe problems with FolderIcons. It is getting my iPhone 4s to crash.

OK - solved.

Deleted everthing - including a part, that was left from a previous installation (found what file I had to delete on internet). And then re-installed it and changed my folder icons only enabling my own icons. Nothing else.

how to solve Foldericons keep crashing

Things you need to have:
1. Jailbroken iphone
2. Download and install Foldericons v. 2.07 in your iPhone (Don´t open it in your settings)
3. Download and install iFile in your iPhone
4. Download and install DiskAid or iExplorer in your Mac OSX

Process:
As soon as you already have installed everything open your DiskAid and put the icons you want for your folders in the following path:

Root/Private/var/mobile/Media/FolderIcons

Then open in your iPhone iFile and look for the following path:

/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/pl.vertex.foldericons.plist

Now, DELETE the pl. vertex.foldericons.plist and SAVE.

Now go to your iPhone Settings and look for the Cydia App FolderIcons

Enter to the FolderIcons App and click over the Enable button and DISABLE Foldericons.
As soon as it is DISABLE now you can begin choosing your icons for all the folders you want to change and Enable or Disable, Badge, and Mirror Image, etc.
When you finish doing these, Enable the Foldericons Button and that`s it.
If you want to change an icon afterwards REMEMBER to First DISABLE Foldericons button and then do the chantings.

Now your iPhone won´t crash anymore.

Not working for me. Any ideas on how to get FolderIcons 2.99.0 working?

the method below didn't work for me on Foldericons 2.07. I transferred the icons, then used iFile to delete the foldericons preferences (there is no SAVE option when deleting). I checked back in the folder to make sure the preferences were deleted. I went into my Settings and tried selecting FolderIcons, but the phone respringed. Then i tried deleting the prefs again, and rebooting. Same thing. And when I select any folder on my springboard, it freezes the phone. Any idea why mine wouldn't work and yours would, toreboy? I'm on an iPhone 5. Are you?

My folder icons won't open in settings. I've tried deleting various apps I have for folders. Got nothing. I have folder enhancer, infinifolders, multi icon mover, and springtomize 2. Could any of them be conflicting?
