Hello,

First, a most Happy New Year's to all.

Thanks for the past help; will blame my ignorance on old (very) age now.
A great excuse.

My Folders seem to have icons for the items in them.

What I want is what I had previously; a line for each item.
The line would have the item's name, and if I remember right, the date last opened.
So for six items in the Folder, there would be six (text) lines. No icons.

How do I get this line format for the inside of the Folders back again ?

Thanks,
Bob

You are looking for the folder view settings. Sounds like you prefer "List" view.
Open a folder that you want to be different (and where you prefer list view)
Go to the View menu, and click on the second item in that menu "As List". That will immediately change that window to List View, which, I think, is what you want. Then, from that same View menu, choose "Show View Options". That's near the bottom of the menu. You can also press Command-J - either choice will then show the View Options window.
Check the box at the top "Always Open in List View", which will make your window always appear in that view. If you want more, there's other settings, like font size, etc. If you like the look of the list view as you see it, you can also click the bottom item, which is the button "Use as Defaults", which should make all your folder windows show the same setup.
