I stupidly didn't set up Gmail using IMAP in Leopard Mail and I don't recall the ability to select IMAP or POP on my iphone (I have original iphone with 2.0 firmware). How can I set my iphone gmail to be IMAP? And in Leopard Mail, can i just change the incoming server to be imap.gmail.com even though type of account says "POP"? Or would I have to delete the account and rebuild? Thanks!

I think with 2.0 it automatically sets it up as IMAP when creating it on your iPhone. Make sure your IMAP settings are set up on the actually account at Gmail.com.

yes, IMAP has been enabled at gmail.com. everything i read on phone still shows up as unread in Leopard Mail and vice versa. I know I need to change the Leopard Mail account to IMAP but don't know how without deleting it and re-establishing a new account. Also, in Leopard Mail, my outgoing gmail show up twice...
