Changing hardware UUID

Yeah, i have an iMac and i need to change or spoof the hardware UUID so some applications that i have will run properly.

Hardware UUID: 23686AB7-B2EC-5E58-9FA3-4A7516298E00

thats what it is currently.

I've read of stuff on the hackintosh websites that say sometimes that they have to do it so that instead of the Zeroed out UUID that they get when they install it on a non-apple machine, they get a UUID that at least appears that they are on a mac. humph :/
