I'm trying to set up iCal with my new iMac, and I can't get my head around the american date system of month/day/year - it just bakes my noodle. how do you change the date to being day/month/year for us brits? is it in iCal - or somewhere else in the system preferences?

Anne.

still doesn't work, sorry

I went to those settings and it was already set for the UK date system. I double checked the settings, went back to iCal - still the unintuitive american system.

Any more ideas?

Anne.

Are You looking to Change the "long date" to ex. Wednesday 24 March, 2004
Or the Short date to 24/3/03?

Becaues the Int'l Preferences shows "under U.K." That the long date is March 24, 2004. You should just change the order on the left, that should fix the problem

Then reopen iCal and it should be fixed. If the Int'l setting are truly wrong, send feed back on iCal stating that the Int'l settings are wrong for the UK.
