changing Iphones but still recieving old SIM's messages?

I am using my mums old phone, and I have inserted my SIM card and am receiving text messages as my number, but am also receiving text messages sent to my mum as well. Its not happening with calls, just IMessage and SMS.

any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you signed into iCloud with her account perhaps?
