My iPhone SE just doesn't ever seem to go over to "answerphone", it just rings and rings. How can set it up to go to "answer" after four rings for example?

Voicemail is enabled, I just want the phone to go to answerphone much sooner than at present. I'm pretty sure there is a way using the keypad and things like *061≠??

There might be a code to accomplish what you want. Go to your carriers site and do a search as THEY are the ones who can adjust this. Much depends on your carrier!

Spoke with BT, dial 15710 turns off the answerphone
15711 turns it on but apparently you cannot change how soon the answerphone picks up - set at 10-12 rings.

Sorry for the trouble folks.

On EE you can do this by dialling this number from your handset

**61*07953222222*11*15#

Obviously replace the mobile number with yours. The ‘15’ at the end is the number of seconds before the call diverts to voicemail. You can make it shorter or longer to suit you of course.

Hope that is not your or some else real phone number....
