Changing Password of 1.1.1 iPhone and iTunes 7.5?

I can't seem to login to SSH on my 1.1.1 iPhone (yes, I have SSH installed) I tried user: root password: dottie with no success. Any ideas of how to change it or find out what the password might be? I can't run independence unfortunately because I have iTunes 7.5
