Apple ID Changing region and potential loss of iCloud data

Hi I currently live in the states and am from different country. I am currently on iCloud storage plans and it is not bound to the US account. I wonder whether I may lose any data on my iCloud if I change my region in the account setting. What I want it to keep all the personal data from my account and change the region to the US.

Any advice? Thank you!
