We've upgraded four 2011 27" iMacs in our office with Crucial MX200 500gb SSD drives, NewerTech adapters and OWC In-line thermal sensors. Everything works great.

My question today... We have another 2011 iMac that was BTO with a 256gb Apple SSD mounted behind the optical drive and a 1tb HD mounted in the standard hard drive location. I want to replace the Apple SSD with a larger Crucial SSD and put a 4tb HD in the standard HD location. When I replace the apple SSD will I need another OWC In-line thermal sensor? Or is the sensor cable only needed when changing HD in the regular regular HD slot?

Thanks for your help!
