Is there a way to change Yosemite's folder icons? They are just horrible looking and, honestly, are the only thing I really dislike on the new version of OS X.

I'm actually still amazed so many people are hating the new folders. Personally I find them a lot better than the Maverick ones. Not too sure what they could do to improve the folders.

They hurt my eyes... they look like if you went to work on acid. They look terrible.

They don't bother me either. Surprised that one looks at them long enough so they start to bother you.

You can change the icons by your self but would not recommend it since you will need to find the original icons and change then back if needed or you can use a software like "LiteIcon" witch changes the icons in the software and you can change them back by a click of the button, this software changes ever icon on your Mac, from Finder, apps, folders and more.

The app can be found at http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24764/liteicon

If you like there are also other apps that can change the hole theme of the Mac, also the dock and log in screen.

I hope this answer helps you making the OS Lookmthey way you would like it. Have a great day.

Why bother with OSX at all? There some great Windows machines out there.

Been there, Done that, don't like Windows
The only Windows I run is for games, and Mac is getting more of those. Maybe someday I can get rid of windows completely. :)
