iPod chaning songs on new shuffle?

you 'can' use regular headphones BUT you won't be able to go back or forward in your song selection list. you also can't change the volume.
so to answer your question, yes you can only change songs using the chord apple gives you. i read that 3rd party companies are going to be making earbuds for the new shuffles but you might have to wait a month or two.
