Chapters?

I was wondering if there was a program or website where you can download the Chapter markers for movies and add them to each movie file via Subler or Tagger?

I encode an MKV in HandBrake but it only sees it as one long Chapter and I would like to have the Chapter markers in place with the names of each Chapter.

I found that when you put a movie in MetaX sometimes it comes up with the Chapter titles, but not for all. I only came across 2 and I have over 1,000 movies in my iTunes library.

Any other ideas?

In the Windows Version of MetaX there is a tab at the bottome of the Chapters Tab "B&N" (Barnes and Noble). You can find most Chapter information there and with the Windows Version you can just select and copy into the Chapters Tab. About 30 seconds to complete. Very Nice.

If you are only finding 1% of DVD chapter titles in MetaX searching, then something must be wrong. Of my 100 DVDs, I had to enter titles of about 5 or 6, mainly because I had an old original DVD version, and not a new special edition with changed chapters. Try searching in more broad terms for your DVD names.

Well, let me try again. haha

I started ripping my DVDs to my Apple TV when it first came out, and more then half of my movies dont have the chapter breaking points in them. So in MetaX my movies come up with chapter titles but it cant be added to my movies cause I dont have any chapter breaking points, make any sense?

I dont know how to add them in a easy way without re-ripping all my movies.

You can't easily add them back. Although you can add chapter markers post encode, you won't be able to get them to align with I frames, so they'll never be as good as if you'd added chapters in the first place.

Probably time to rerip your moviea from DVD.
