When I put Windows 7 into sleep mode (not hibernate), it stops charging my iphone 3GS. I've always charged my phone this way in mac os x, and would like to avoid having to reboot just to put it to sleep in Leopard :)

I have a macbook pro penryn, with Windows 7 RC 64-bit.

I've searched the forums and didn't find anything. The internet suggestions seemed computer specific or involved a slightly scary hack involving "always-on usb".

Is there something deep in the control panels to enable this? Thanks.

Anybody?

I'm surprised...I thought this would be a decent-sized issue. Lots of people bootcamp and there are lots of usb-powered phones like the iphone. Do most people not charge through their computer? Give me your thoughts, am I the only one who does this? *shrug* Or is there just not an answer out there?

You can change the advanced options for the three standard plans in the power options in control panel. There's an option for USB suspend settings - it's disabled by default.
