I did not see how long it will take to charge the iPhone on the tech page. Does anyone know? Like most of you I plan on buying one tomorrow and headed straight home to activate and sync everything. I have everything ready for this and will be anxious to use it right away but like with most products with battery's, it is recomended that you fully charge it before using it to get the most life out of the battery. I plan on going out tomorrow night but that could be delayed now if I have to wait 2-3 hours or more for it to charge. You think Apple already charged the phones for us so we can use them right away? Any thoughts?

One of the reviews I was reading said it came with a partially charged battery. I am not sure how long that will last but could be enough to get you through your night.

I had Morpheus and Mr. Smith put a usb 2.0 port in my armpit so I could charge off my body's BTU.

I have been told that you dont have to fully charge this type of battery prior to use....It can be charged anywhere in the cycle...I posted something on this yesterday so might want to look down farther

Almost all lithium-ion batteries (and their variants) come partially charged, because that's the best state to store it in for longevity.

As with all Li-ion (and other) batteries, the first 80% or so charges relatively quickly, and the last 20% will charge at a slower rate (also for battery longevity). This is the same with the iPods.
