I have a family subscription for Apple Music, and I just got charged today 14.99.... The trial is supposed to be 3 months. Anyone else experiencing this?

Since each device can have only one trial associated with it, what happens when the device is sold?
There are lots of chances we take by buying used phones and computers.
Several years ago, I bought a used 2008 black MacBook on Craigslist. Used it for what I needed to for the most part without a problem until I actually tried to make an iTunes purchase on it. It immediately told me to contact iTunes support. I did and they said they fixed the problem. Bought a few more things and then was told the same thing, to contact support. I did and this time they told me that the computer had been associated with a few hundred iTunes accounts that had negative balances on them and that the computer was forever banned from creating an account or being used in iTunes again. They said the balances totaled well over $4500. I also had to start new with my iPhone as well because after that, it too was banned from buying in the iTunes store.
I immediately bought another used MacBook and was able to start anew on the iTunes store but I eventually lost thousands of TV show episodes and a few hundred movie purchases when one day, all those purchases were just deauthorized. Literally thousands of dollars gone.
Now I only buy new. I firmly believe that the problem I had was why Apple has so many restrictions now in how many accounts you can have per device and the 90 day switch to another account rule. The rules started right after my problems with the MacBook I bought used.
I mean, I'm just guessing here. I expect if it's Apple refurbished, it'd be like new and you'd get the trial.
