charger cable?

my charger cable for my itouch is a little ripped at the top where you put it inside the itouch. you can see a little bit of the wires. do you think thats the reason my itouch isnt charging when i plugg it in?

Out on a limb here, I'm going to say yes. You need a new cable.

If your iPod is still covered under warranty (i.e. less than a year old), or if you got AppleCare for your iPod, a replacement cable is free -- provided you call Apple.

yeah its only been like 2 months since i've bought it, but wouldn't they say it's not covered or whatever because i broke it, it didn't come in that condition or something?
