Just bought an iPad 10, a significant upgrade over my previous model. The charging cord supplied is usb-c on both ends, with a wall plug having a usb-c port. I tried using another cable I have which splits into three connectors, one of which is usb-c. It wouldn’t charge the iPad. Maybe the problem is because it’s split, I thought. So then I tried a usb to usb-c cord from my portable charging block (which charges other iPads without problem) but it wouldn’t charge the iPad 10. Finally, I tried the usb to usb-c cable with a wall plug having a usb port. Still would not charge the iPad 10.

I can probably get a portable charger with a usb-c outlet and use the supplied usb-c to usb-c cord, but I’m not sure it’d work. I’d like to know before I buy one. And even if it does, I’m stuck with a single usb-c to usb-c cord. Will other usb-c to usb-c cords work? Again, I don’t know. Am I stuck using only Apple’s overpriced cords? I’d like to find a usb to usb-c cord that works.

what are other people experiencing when trying to charge iPad 10’s? What solutions have you found? I’d like to know, thank you.

The power bank is powerful enough to charge older iPads, not sure if it’s powerful enough to charge an iPad 10. My primary concern though is that I’ve tried charging with several usb to usb-c cables and none of them have worked.

I'm just thinking if the power source isn't powerful enough then it doesn't matter what cable you use
