I’m having some strange problems with my 1st gen 11 iPad Pro. I bought an aukey 65w charging brick and the iPad does not charge (usb c to usb c); not even a message saying it’s not supported. The iPad Pro also does not charge with the apple 18w charger. However, it does charge with usb a to usb c cable and it does charge using the MacBook 61w charger, usb c to usb c. What could the issue be here?

Are you using the same USB C to USB C cable that you’re using with the MacBook charging brick? If not, maybe the cable is bad.

Probably a defective cable. You should buy a new one.

Hi.

I am having similar problems. I also changed cables, it doesn't make a difference. My problems are more random: most of the time the iPad Pro 2020 is charging normal. Sometimes it won't start no matter which charger I use.
People are talking about a defective USB C slot on some iPad Pros, BUT: the problem is always solved when I reconnect the usb c cable on the BRICK side. I do not have to touch the usb c port on the iPad Pro. So I do not think it is a hardware problem on the iPad side.
Any more ideas ?
