Probably a pretty simple question to ask: is the Apple's own 2m USB-C to USB-C cable the one to get to replace the original one? The unit is a Late 2016 13" MBP. The older one is now almost yellow on both ends and showing signs of fraying on one just like this older thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/charger-cable-turning-yellow-at-both-ends.2250674/

You could maybe save a few bucks and get one on Amazon (just need to make sure it can handle higher wattage charging, your 2016 13" MBP is the 61W one I believe), but since it's only $19, I'd personally just buy the official one from Apple.
