Other Charging? Fully charge before use?

Are we supposed to charge it full when we receive it or it doesn’t matter? Also, am I suppose to take out the sim from my iPhone X and put it in the iPhone XS Max or no?

My MAX came with 90% out of the box. Juszt use it and do not worry about the battery.
