Charging iPad in Bootcamp?

I just tried charging my iPad on a MacBook Pro using bootcamp. I got the same "Not Charging" message. It works fine once I book into OSX.

I guess this really is a software problem rather than a hardware problem.

FYI : its a 13 inch MBP with 2.53 ghz running XP
