from Cnet, it said that "The 10W USB power adapter, which lets you charge your iPad directly through an electrical outlet, has also been delayed until May"


does it mean that without this adapter, we have to charge using PC/Mac? which can take longer since power through usb is much weaker.

I'd guess that there is no difference. They probably are using most of the adapters that are being produced right now to go in the boxes with the iPads. The delay is likely only on it being separately available.

Don't worry it will come with a wall charger just not an extension cable, instead you will use the usb sync cable provided to charge..

Well if you enable disk storage but you won't be able to see or use those files from the device, only files transferred via iTunes will be usable within the device.
But basically charge and transfer files with iTunes.. Of course iTunes will be updated once the iPad comes out.

I got the impression today while talking to an apple rep on the phone, was you get a wall charger with the iPad but it is 3ft long. The one they sell on line as an accessory, is 6 ft.

Thats what I was told.

I have to travel in april, and DO NOT want to bring my MBP to charge my iPad. That would suck, and would cancel my iPad purchase and just bring my MBP.

Every iPod and iPhone comes with a USB Cable, and their all 3 feet long, the iPad will come with that same USB Cable. the one they sell online is an extension (just like the MacBooks) and can extend your current cable from 3 feet to 9 feet (3ft + 6ft = 9ft).

although not confirmed, it looks like it might be possible to use your current MacBooks extension cable with the iPad.

See that white box (USB to outlet adapter) in the middle of the cord? The top right as is has the outlet plug that flips down, that part can be separated from the adapter, allowing you to use the "wall-e" to connect to the adapter. The idea is to extend the cord by using the extension cord.

The brick. You remove the part where the prongs are (you can also plug international prongs into the brick so it's got a removable module). You plug the wire in its place.

If you look closely at the power brick, you'll notice it has a line in it. This is where the prongs "pop off" and you can pop in the extension cable. It's actually a really nice, flexible design.
