Over on the Apple community and apparently on Redit there is a discussion about a weird behavior in the charging when the mac is shutdown where the 140 magsafe is used. The charging light blinks on and off and the mac makes a sound each time.

They have been returned for new, but as soon as .01 is installed it happens again.

I guess the old adage about upgrades abiout not fixing things that aren’t already broken applies.

Anyone here experience this?

I have the same thing happening on my 14 Max when it is shutdown but plugged into USB-C power out of my LG monitor. Haven't tried (noticed) with the MagSafe but it's probably the same deal.

Yeah it's a bug. To charge while on power off with lid off. Charge it while it's on then shut it down. It'll charge just fine . Or if yours is already shut down. Plug it in and open the lid. When it's on login screen just shut it down again.

It's already on another thread here :p and yeh a user said Apple has confirmed this too so we just have to wait for the fix

Do you have a link to the other thread?
