Hey!

Most of the time my macbook is charging at all times since I use it at home mostly and its just plugged in :rolleyes:
Im gussing thats not very good....
what is the best way to charge the battery in order to keep my mac healthy? should I only charge it at night?

I do the same thing with my computer. Any given week it's only running just on it's battery for about... 6 hours tops.. which I would assume isn't too much. I haven't seen any problems with battery life when it is unplugged though. I did the same to my Tibook I had (and my dad had before me during which he used it much like i do) as well and at the end the original battery still held over 3 hours charge (which i thought was darn amazing) and the puter ran fine.

I am not sure if this really is as bad as some people think.
 
From what I have heard and experienced with my macbook, the battery stops charging once it hits 100% so it does not harm the battery in any way at all if its constantly charged in. And from my experience I would reccommend every night or so to unplug it and use the battery for a few hours just to juice it up again. From doing this I have noticed my max. battery capacity rise from 5301 to 5314

Also to maximise bat. life turn the brightness down which will score you up to an hour more bat. life, turn off bluetooth. Should easily get you 4hrs
