Having downloaded ios16 on my iPhone 12, I notice the charging percent indicator is now missing when the phone is plugged in. This was always especially useful for me as all I had to do was touch the display and I knew how much charge was available at a glance. Now however I have to additionally unlock the phone and pull down the battery bar.
This is a small but significant quality of life downgrade as I don‘t charge the phone overnight. No idea why Apple removed this as it was present for many generations of iOS. I‘m really hoping this was an oversight and they bring it back soon.
