Quick questions: how long should my iPad take to charge? It's taking about 6 hours right now plugged into the wall. Is that normal?

Also on the black screen with just the Apple logo I noticed what looks like a bunch of light coming thru on the edges? Is that acceptable and normal? Are either if these things reason for an exchange or are they par for the course?

Otherwise I absolutely love my iPad and couldn't be happier!

Thanks guys!

Are you using the charger that came with the iPad?

Also, which "edges" are you referring to? Please take a photo and post it.

Yup I am using the charger that came with the iPad.
Won't be able to post a pic till later tomorrow. Basically on a black screen the light seeps into the black picture so the black screen is light around the edges of the screen if that makes sense.

I've seen varying degrees of light leakage. I bet you are noticing in a dark room without adjusting levels of light. Turning down screen to make blacks - black.

Most I've seen are normal under these conditions. If you notice in normal lit conditions, swing by an Apple store and discuss with them.

I seem to get about 12-15% battery back per hour that it's plugged into the wall using apple's provided iPad charger. This actually seems a bit on the light side since the battery is 25 watt hours and the charger is 10 watts. I'd expect a full charge to take something like 3 hours... Could it be that the USB cable limits things to only 5 watts? I think that's a limit of the USB specification.
