Just make sure it's certified by Apple.I have an Apple iPad Mini 2 with Retina display. What “charger specs” should I look for, so I can use a third party adapter to charge it?
How can I do that?Just make sure it's certified by Apple.
... or just buy one from Apple 😉Look out for this image in a product gallery.

Yeah...Guys, the charger that can charge the iPad mini 2, is it the same charger like this one that is used for the iPhone?
Iirc, that one's only 5W (5V, 1A) so it will charge the iPad slowly.Guys, the charger that can charge the iPad mini 2, is it the same charger like this one that is used for the iPhone?
Is the slow charge the only downside? Or might it have a negative effect on the battery?Iirc, that one's only 5W (5V, 1A) so it will charge the iPad slowly.
Slower charging likely translates to less hear so it's probably easier on the battery. Is the slow charge the only downside? Or might it have a negative effect on the battery?
What is "less hear"?Slower charging likely translates to less hear so it's probably easier on the battery.
How can u know which are fakes? That said, I'd sooner trust an off-brand charger such as Belkin, Anker, etc. before I would fake Apple chargers (and there are tons of genuine-looking fakes on Amazon and ebay).
