Charging with MacBook adapter?

I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro and I was wondering if all I’ll need is one adapter when I travel?

It would sure save a lot of luggage space and hassle to carry the iPad Pro and MacBook and one cord versus two cords and a charging brick.

Also any idea if the iPad can charge off of the MacBook pros usb-c ports? That way one broke and two cords would be all I’d need to charge both devices.

Yes, but we’re unsure at which rate it’ll be able to charge. 2017 iPad Pros charged at 12W from the 87W adapter, FYI.

TBH, I’m almost sure my iPad Pro charges at 18W from my 61W adapter. For sure it’s faster than the 12W.

iPad Pros will certainly charge faster with the 29/30W adapter, but it indeed seems they’re able to do 18W (9V, 2A) with the MacBook Pro chargers, which is better than 12W. They now come with an 18W charger standard, so maybe the only advantage now is only needing one charger.
