Hey everyone!

I help run a small (50ish members), private online forum using vbulletin. Currently we're looking for some chat software that we could use to have live chats with. I installed Blab lite and it works fine, but I'd like to get something where we can have users/passwords and kindof control who's using it.

Also, I think it'd be nice if somewhere on our mainpage we could have a little spot where it says:: "7 users in chat" or something of that sort, not sure if it's possible though.

The only other condition is that I'd like it to be free. I don't know if we're going to be able to get what I want at no cost, but figured I'd look for free stuff first :)

If anyone has any suggestions, it's greatly appreciated!!

Thanks :)

allison.

Have you checked here?

On vbulletin.org, search the mods for "Chatbox" or vBShout.

Or, just search for "chat", and check through the pages of results. :)

You could try IRC! then use an internet irc !

( if you dont know what irc is, its basically some thing were you can connect to a server then diffrent chatrooms but im not totaly sure cas i dont use it)

You can have like admins of the channel and stuff you can also have commands within the chatroom like to tell you info like weather, and random stuff

Hope this helps
