Cheap 100GB harddrives?

If you know of any cheap 100GB internal hard drives or 40-60GB external ones, please post.

Preferrably 4200RPM for the internal, idc what speed for external.

Im not a high end user, but if you have a cheap 100GB 5400 rpm thats okay too i guess

Sorry, don't have any answers here. However, I'm also on the lookout for possibly upgrading my Macbook HDD. I've only got 13GB of my 60gigs free, and I'd like to get a fast (but quiet), reliable, 120GB-160GB drive in the $100 price range.

Check out OWC for decent prices and solid customer service on internal notebook drives (and a host of other things).

SATA drives for MacBooks/MacBook Pros, and ATA drives for iBooks/PowerBooks.

Im upgrading my stock 60GB crap hard drive, does anybody know if you need a specific version, or just need a SATA 2.5inch hard drive.
Oh and if anybody knows a company that buys used 60GB hard drives, lemme know.

Any 2.5" SATA drive should do. I'd recommend getting one from a well-known company, though. I have the Seagate 160GB drive installed in my MacBook, and couldn't be happier.

I upgraded mine from the Fujitsu 80 GB to a Toshiba 120 GB. No probs. I don't think it matters, but for what it's worth, I believe Apple is using Hitachi for the 160 GB version. Just find the right size and brand for your budget on Newegg. As long as it's a 2.5" SATA drive, you should be fine.

Make sure you shop around when you decide on one. There are other reputable stores like buy.com which at times have it cheaper.

Estimated price to upgrade my harddrive to 100GB is like $35, if i succesfully sell my 60gb on ebay for $40, and buy a new one for $75(also on ebay)

Here's a 160GB one for $109 shipped. There's 100GB ones for $10 or $15 less, but why wouldn't you spend the little bit extra for another 60GB? $109 for a 160GB laptop drive is a great deal.

The one mrogers posted is a good deal. There's also this Hitachi 160GB for $110. I've been thinking about getting one.
