MP 1,1-5,1 Cheap AMD or Nvidia GPU for Mac Pro 3.1?

I need to replace my GTX 650Ti in my Mac Pro 3.1 (El Capitan) because is dead. Please, can you suggest me some cheap GPU that work out of the box?

I would suggest Nvidia 680 GTX or 670 GTX. With Nvidia Kepler cards, will work up to Mojave.

How does the GT 710 work because I have install it (Catalina & Mojave) and the screen is black.
My machine is Mac Pro 3.1.
I use the patch from DoosDude1.
The GPU works great on High Sieera.
Coul you please help me?

In the past I have tried twice to install High Sierra with the DosDude method but after a while the Mac chashed and I gave up.
Anyway, the GTX 650Ti was not dead, the Mac simply loaded the wrong drivers, now I have fixed it and everything is working again.
