Hey!
I just signed up in order to find some help.
Currently I got a 7300GT in my Mac Pro 1,1.
Yesterday, I installed El Capitan. However, the system crashes continually.
So I'm looking for a cheap graphics card which runs fine with El Capitan.
I don't need graphics power; I just do the normal office stuff.
Can you tell me which one I should get?
Would be awesome!

If you don't need an EFI flashed graphics card, you can buy an Nvidia GeForce 1030, it's relatively inexpensive, you can find it new for even for $75, and it's enough for everyday tasks and even some light gaming. If you have another PCI-e free slot, you can have both cards installed, I have a GT 120 installed next to the GT 1030 for when I need to use the Boot Manager.

I run the nvidia quadro 8800GT in mine, it runs El Cap really well, and can do some light gaming on the windows side on occasion. I got the mac version for around 65 or 70 dollars on eBay.

a nvidia gt 630 from ebay (not a fake one) if you can grab one under £20-30 or a GTX 660 for under £50(will need one mac power cable)
you wont have boot display but thats the kind of good cheep options with little fuss with native osx drivers in osx10.11

or a GT120 (think there's only mac versions of that card) i see on ebay for £60
