I've found that the bigger chain stores, ie. circuit city and best buy, generally don't have very good prices on RAM. Every time I've looked, their prices for 1 GB of RAM match that of 2 GB from newegg or crucial.

yeah i figured that i just hate ordering things online and waiting and such

I know circuit city has a 10% off coupon which will help on the ram but buying online will still be cheaper most of the time. I would also check out compusa...they sometime have better deals.

You might be able to find an online retailer that's close to home to cut down on shipping time. For example, I believe buy.com usually ships from Jersey, so their items reach me in NYC in two days tops. Of course, I had a problem with my last order
