Anyone knows what is the cheapest iPad mini retina matte back skin? Is the bestskinsever the more affordable?
Spigen also has one kit with a matte back skin, but it is more expensive and I don't need the front protector. Same with the phantomskinz. Any more alternatives?

I too am looking for a matte back skin. The 3 you mentioned are the only ones I have come across. BSE is probably the cheapest and only one that offers just the back.

decalgirl.com has matte skins as well. I think the front comes with them automatically but there prices are good.

sticker boy dot net and luckyskins dot com both allow you to purchase individual skins for specific parts of the device. Luckyskins has the apple cutout, which is cool.

I forgot to mention in my reply that I am looking for a clear matte back skin (for rMini), which I think none of the companies you both mentioned carry..unless I'm just not finding it.

Yeah, I'm looking for clear matte, but thank you tgara and Ladybug. I'll probably go with bestskinsever.

No problem, someone else might find the info useful. :)

matte back skins for the iPad mini

I have used ones from Sticker Boy and Best skins ever. Both are clear matte skins. The Sticker Boy has a little texture it and is a dry apply. I had to replace it when my mini was replaced by Apple under warranty. It had better "grip" than the Best Skins Ever.

The Best Skins Ever are smooth like the aluminum backing. This is a "wet" apply (a drip of dish detergent in water and spread on with a spray bottle-not included). The corners are custom cut but don't stick well. Both sell separately without a screen protector.

Hope this helps.

I've received the matte BSE yesterday. It looks good, but it is a PITA to apply. Those corners.. it looks like they will peel off really easily. Not worth the money IMO.

I got my matte BSE yesterday too. I personally prefer matte over the regular clear glossy protectors. If applied correctly, the corners will not peel. Worth it for me.

The corner near the headphone jack already peeled. Bah.

Edit: hmm I've managed to reapply it with more solution. Let's see how long will it hold.
