I have gotten so used to dictating text / email on my ipad and iPhone I am now missing it on my 2010 cMP running High Sierra. What is the best / easiest / cheapest way to add it ?

Siri is included with High Sierra.
(it’s one of the first things I disabled...... 😜)

Yea if it's just for dictating you can buy any from Amazon. If you do serious voice recording as well the Sure MarC426 mentions is a good option and Røde makes great mics as well.

I do a little music production and may learn the acoustic guitar in the new year so may get something a little better - I see the Yetis get great reviews....

It's what we use in my company for voice overs (black yeti) ~ very professional quality mic.
