I did a quick Google search and came up with many options to purchase MobileMe as my subscription expires soon. Just wondering where you've purchased your MobileMe. I thought Amazon might be the cheapest, but saw one for $44.00.

Looking forward to any thoughts on where to buy. Thanks!

I purchased my MobileMe on Ebay for US$60 and it works perfectly. I am aware that some people sell it for cheaper, but sadly none of them would accept payments from New Zealand for some reason.
Just make sure you get the 20GB version, NOT the 5GB version, because as far as I am aware, this is not the real thing.

I looked into that 5 Gb version - in the example I researched, the person bought a family pack, and was reselling the "extra" accounts that come with the "main" 20 Gb account. A big no-no, in my opinion.

Bought it on eBay a couple weeks ago for $48 shipped. Added the code to renew and it worked fine. I make sure that I get the sealed box version shipped to me, because I don't want them seeing the code and simply emailing it to me.

its cheaper to buy mobile me from elsewhere besides apple but when you renew the membership...you have to pay full price from apple correct? or is there another way to keep the discounted price?

No, you can buy elsewhere again and apply the code to an existing account to renew the subscription.
