Does Anyone know where to get a Iphone 3gs without a contract for a low price?

I got a nice week 32 16gb 3gs black locally through craigslist. I was sure to only look for ads that had cell#'s and txt'd him first and early after the ad was posted. He txt'd me back with the serial number and i knew it was worth going out to see. I got lucky and he was kewl and the price was lower then market value and the unit had no water damage - sounded good - and i was able to put my sim in and test first! Look closely at the seams and in the headphone port.

Just so you know, an original iPhone brand-new/unused will have a very diminished battery. If those batteries go months, let alone years, without use, its life will be significantly shortened. Just an FYI.

I've used one of those free sites before. There is one out there where you just complete surveys and offer to accumulate points which then can be redeemed at Amazon. Its work for me in the past for a Ps3 and I've seen people order iphones.

Personally I've used points2shop.com. It takes awhile to accumulate points but it can be worth it in the end. I actually just checked and it looks like they took the Iphone down the last time I was on it. Guess apple didn't like amazon selling it. I'll look around a little bit to see other places. Personally I got my iphone off of ebay and it works great. I even got it for a deal at $300. There are deals to be had it just takes some searching to find the right one.

I've read on one of the unlocking forums that if you go to Best Buy and demand that you activate it at home they sell you it at the unsubsidized price of about $550... but I'm guessing thats YMMV

3GS's are much rarer on CL in my experience, so really unless you are willing to pay the huge bucks you might have to settle for a 3G.
