This guy has Pro for $45...which can be extracted from the disc.

I believe the terms of the license that comes with the VPC/Windows combo mention that the XP installation is to be used with VPC only. Not saying it can't be extracted, but it's allowed under the EULA.

Starting from a couple of months ago, Newegg requires copies of receipts showing you've bought a CPU, motherboard, RAM and HDD before selling you XP OEM - I don't know how stringent they are about that. TigerDirect has XP OEM for the same price with no preconditions.

You're right. No need to believe anymore ;)

Installation and Use. You may install, use, access, display, and run one (1) copy of the
Product on a single computer, such as a workstation, terminal, or other device
(“Workstation Computer”) on which you have also installed (and which is compatible
with and capable of directly executing) any version of the software product distributed
by Microsoft Corporation and known as Virtual PC for Mac (“VPC Mac”), solely for use
as a “guest” operating system running in conjunction with VPC Mac.

I've bought both of my copies from ebay, both worked without a hitch. Just make sure they have a history of selling primarily Windows software..and not something like figurines lol!

I bought XP OEM version from NewEgg in the same order as Parallels and they shipped it with not problem. My rationale is that I did buy a new processor and motherboard etc...it just happened to already have MacOS on it too. Anyway it worked out just fine... they sent me both programs without any questions or problems, XP installed perfectly (first try, too!!) and activated normally.
