nah i don't think so..internet plan is costly. I was looking at the prepaid, some expire after 30 days, some after 90, others after a year.

Hmm also i have to take into account that ATT prepaid offers 3G right? But with T-mobile i would be stuck on 2G. I don't really care and my area doesn't have 3G yet anyways =/

How much is internet plan+basic phone plan for T-Mobile?

Either prepaid AT&T or prepaid T-Mobile in your case. Or you can sign up for T-Mobile's contract plans for the sole purpose of myFaves. myFaves saved my ass quite a few times in terms of running up the cell minutes (and draining the iPhone battery down until the 10% battery remaining notice :D)

Does prepaid suck my minutes or something if i try to access data? Would that even work?

You can wipe out $100 in just a few minutes of data usage on a prepaid plan. This is why data plans are so important. Loading a map in Google maps will cost at least $3. A webpage can cost a few dollars. Data is very expensive when you don't have a data plan.

i heard that sometimes your iPhone gets incomming data. How would i go about completly blocking them so that it doesn't happen.

if u get the att hybrid pick your plan u can get a basic 29.99 300 minute plan and add unlimited internet for 15 or 20... jus those plans have to be automatically deducted from a credit/checking acct.

data would be 1 cent per kb transferred otherwise

Whats the cheapest plan for me? I don't use the phone part very often, i maybe use 15 minutes a week. So whats my best option? Prepaid(ATT or T-Mobile) or a regular plan? I just unlocked my 3G iPhone and i'm out of the contract.

If anyone is interested the company is selling cheap TurboSim v2 on e-bay for $14.90.

1. tyou cant go prepaid with iphone through AT&T. YOu can go trhough TMOBILE i know a few people who use it and are satisifed plus they ahve some cheap data plans.

2. wtf is a turbo sim.

3. But overall the costs of contract through att is way too much money you can get a cheaper deal on minutes and data through tmol and just unlock it.

But since you have a 3g i doubt you would be able to use it on tmol you can only use the phone on att and jailbreak for custom apps.

Hi guys,

I am thinking about getting the iPhone and unlocking it, but only if I manage to get an affordable data plan. I don't talk that much and for me, paying 70$ a month to AT&T is too much. Right now I have T-Mobile pay as you go. Yesterday I went to a T-Mobile store to ask for a cheap data plan. They offered one for 20$, but they said that I needed a voice plan as well, and the cheapest was 30$. So in total, the cheapest they offered is 50$ a month.

Some of you have talked about using a cheap data plan combined with T-Mobile's prepaid plan, if I understood well, so how do you do that? According to the guy at the store that is not possible... Also, if you know any other cheap way to get a data plan please let me know, that is a critical point for me for getting the iPhone.

Thanks!
