Okay, solar nerds, settle a debate for me! š¤ I'm about to pull the trigger on some new panels, and I've been going DEEP on the nitty-gritty details, including EVA film (yeah, I'm that person now š).
I found a few articles comparing different types and their lifespans. Now I'm wondering if I should spring for the premium stuff or if my installer is right and I'm just overthinking it.
Here's the dilemma:
Premium EVA film is obviously more expensive. Like, noticeably so.
BUT, it claims to last longer and resist yellowing better. Which, duh, that's the point.
My installer says the standard stuff is fine. He's been doing this for years, so he probably knows his stuff, right?
Help a decision-paralyzed soul out!
What say you, solar veterans?
Did you go budget or bougie on your EVA film?
Any regrets either way?
Have you seen firsthand what happens to cheap EVA over time? (Pics or it didn't happen! š)
Seriously, lay your EVA wisdom on me! š
