So I’ve updated to iOS 17

I’m trying to use the check in iMessage feature with someone else who is also on iOS 17

However when I choose “check in” it says “check in is not available to send to this recipient”

But they are able to send their check in to me with no issues at all

Anyone else experiences this or any ideas what the issue could be?

Last night I could literally not send a check-in to anybody and I knew several who had upgraded to iOS 17.
This morning, I can send a check-in to one contact but it's still unavailable for many other who have updated. Not sure what's going on...

People are also saying contact posters aren’t reliable right now and air tag sharing isn’t reliable right now. Add this one to the pile I guess.

These are literally the 3 things that I’ve been having issues with. I was able to solve the AirTag sharing thing but I think it was by mistake so I can’t even tell you how. I was having issues with Posters just reverting to the default gray one. And yes, my Check In isn’t working. I can’t send to my wife but she can send to me. I have only been able to send to one friend.

Same here with Check in… In an another group someone suggested that I downloaded Google Maps 🤫, and then enabled that app under messages.
Still doesn’t work 🤷🏻‍♂️

LOL. Sounds like a prank, or a Google Map maniac. 😂
