Check/register application quest

I have been running an old version of Quicken under Parallels on my Macbook Pro (El Capitain) For some unfathomable reason it simply stopped printing. Reloads, unloads+ reloads and registry editing have not worked. (My paranoid suspicion is that Intuit included a poison pill that turned off that function after some interval)

My needs are simple. I use it only as a check register and check printing program (using pre-printed checks, not blank stock) so I need to be able to:

1. Import a QIF file
2. Write checks
3. Print checks

Any suggestions?
