Hi. I had to re-arrange my work table and in the process had to disconnect the electrical plugs of my iMac and a Samsung SyncMaster EX1920 external monitor. The EX1920 was connected to the iMac via HDMI cable. This monitor was working prior to re-arranging the units on my desk. After all had been arranged, I turned on the EX1920 but now all I get is a moving window that says "Check Signal Cable" and "Digital".
I've checked the HDMI cable connections on both the iMac and the EX1920 and the cable is properly connected. I've tried the "Source" button on the EX1920 which selects either a "Digital" or "Analog" connection but the "Check Signal Cable" won't go away and I can't get the EX1920 to work.
I've tried "System Preferences - Displays - Detect Displays" but nothing happens. However, when I click on the Display Icon on the upper right hand of the Toolbar, it shows that it detects both the iMac and the external monitor: SME1920 -> Picture 1. Also, when I look into "Arrangement" tab in Displays under System Preferences this is what is shown -> Picture 2.

I'm at a loss here. The iMac seems to detect the external monitor, but I can't get the external monitor just keeps showing a moving "Check Signal Cable" window. Would appreciate your help in resolving this problem.
Thanks.
