Check who is using my wirless connection?

I was just wondering, is it possible to check all computers/devices that are using my wireless internet?

I just want a way to make sure no one is "borrowing" from me

You should have a log in your router. You'll be able to get a list of all the MAC addresses that connected to your router.

If your router is secure with a good encryption like WPA, you won't have to worry.

Well it will vary from router to router, but for my NetGear, I can login to the console and "view attached devices". This will show who's currently using your network. If I am not mistaken you can use logging to log mac addresses that connect to your network. Again, how to do this will vary by router.

Just stick a password in and stop worrying. I had a housemate who used to borrow other people's wireless whenever he forgot the password for our network (it was pay as you go at the time and he didn't have the password stored on his machine) but he'd always reset their start page to a security site as a gentle reminder. Mildly irritating for our careless neighbours but they eventually got the message and protected their connection.
