checking battery levels on airpods and case

is there a quick way to check battery levels....i mean once you are using the air pods how are you checking the case level ?

when i pull down it will just show me the pod levels then once you open the case sometimes it will pop the case info up and sometimes it does not

am i missing a short cut here ?

For me and maybe i do not know all the tricks - place one AirPod into the case and then you will get the case % as well as the AirPod % of the AirPod outside of the case. Then remove the AirPod from the case to check the level of that particular AirPod.

Would like to see the case % if both AirPods are outside of the case as well.
