Checking Iphone Storage

Why does it seem that checking iphone storage has slowed down so much on my iphone x? When I first got iphone x it was quick to show me what apps use how much storage. Now it seems to take 15-30 seconds to on calculating category size. I know not major just not sure if it is the ios version causing it or something specific with phone. However, I have seen others online talking about it as well for non iphone x, which makes me think it is the ios.

Does anyone else see the same thing? I am on 11.2.5 using 55.5GB of 256GB Iphone x.

A family member has a 6s on iOS 11 and to check storage is FAR slower than a 6s on iOS 9 and my iPad Pro on iOS 9 too.

The more data you put on there the longer it will take to calculate the storage and determine what is taking up that space. So that might be what is going on.
